Twelve stories of twelve neighbours. At first glance, it might seem like an ordinary residential building - but in reality it hides many eccentric individuals. They struggle with their perverse desires, obsessions, jealousy and selfishness. The seemingly absurd situations they experience are a bit similar to our everyday woes. Partnership stories with black humour are anecdotes for the thick-skinned - about breaking up through poetry, physical punishment or swallowed keys. All the stories are connected by the hopeless predicament that we are doomed because of our weaknesses. Denis Šafařík's debut film, somewhat in the style of Quentin Tarantino's Four Rooms, surprises by discovering that it is morbidly entertaining to peep into households where things are boiling.
