Alexander Dubček. ‘Decent Sasha’. ‘The political pop star of socialism’. The legacy of a man with an indisputable influence on the course of Czechoslovak history is still alive in our society, but not fully explored. His symbol has been gradually disintegrating, weathering, and only a fading nostalgic memory of the man who brought humanity to the political world remains. Robert Kirchhoff's documentary recapitulates Dubček's childhood and his heyday, retirement and attempted comeback after 1989. It premiered at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
