Ukrainian Lesja is serving seven years in one of the women’s prisons in Odessa. She has also given birth to her first child there, and she’s getting used to the exclusively female world consisting of prisoners, warders, mothers, widows, daughters, sisters. Often, the only difference between them is a uniform and the possibility to exit the jail. A new film by Peter Kerekes (Cooking History).
