The smoke sauna in southeast Estonia is a place steeped in tradition, associated with intimacy and sharing. Co-director Anna Hints has already explored this environment in her internationally successful feature documentary Smoke Sauna Sisterhood (which will also be screened at the Finále Festival in the ZOOM section), but this time she and director Tushar Prakash explore the opposite, male perspective. They take us into the sauna after a hard day's work and show that the seemingly tough exterior hides vulnerability, fragility and a desire for closeness. Sauna Day premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and will have its Czech premiere at Finále FF.
