To become a better person… or at least hope that I can be better. This animation documentary by Eliška Jirásková explores the motivations of three men who turn to bodybuilding as a way of grappling with their relationship to their bodies and fractured self-esteem - do I look manly enough? Jirásková draws inspiration from the comic book aesthetic of superhero stories in which characters often seem as if they’ve stepped straight out of bodybuilding shows. Why is society so fascinated by this image of masculinity? The film was created at Prague's FAMU.
