Names like Walter Gropius, Mies van der Rohe, or Marcel Breuer are well known, but what about artist Friedl Dicker-Brandeis or textile designer Gunta Stölzl? The Bauhaus is often associated with male figures, yet the influence of women during the existence of the famous art school was undeniable. Director Susanne Radelhof’s documentary pays tribute to the forgotten women of The Bauhaus, revealing their struggle to establish themselves in fields dominated by men. Presented as part of the accompanying programme of Finále Plzeň, the screening is also included in the Film and Architecture Festival and the Pilsen chapter of Architecture Day.
