After a recent power outage, a discussion arose in the Czech Republic about how prepared we really are for such an event. For Daria Kashcheeva, the theme of a blackout is mainly an opportunity to escape urban chaos. Where can you hide from the crowds of tourists, honking cars, loud music, or the noise of jackhammers? Are there any oases of calm in a big city if a power outage doesn’t quiet it down? This short exercise, created by second-year students at the Animation Department of FAMU, was made on the theme of ‘Blackout and the City.’
