Mathias is 18 years old — facing a year full of life-changing decisions that could shape his entire future. What does he want to become? But Mathias isn’t thinking about any of that. Instead, he’s overwhelmed by the difficult relationships around him that have spiraled out of control since he began his gender transition. Rather than planning for the future, he isolates himself at home, consumed by anxiety. Until one day, when a mysterious man appears at his door, claiming to be Mathias himself fifteen years in the future. The Other is a student film directed by Florent Thys, created at the Belgian film school, INSAS.
