Arina has a problem. She got pregnant by Sergei, a door-to-door salesman, but he has gone off to war for a few years and she now has no one with whom to satisfy her sexual desires. She therefore asks the almighty God for help. He wants to be rid of this ordinary chambermaid as quickly as possible, so he sends her the infertile angel, Alfred. But even divine intervention cannot solve all human problems. A unique opportunity to see one of Agnieszka Holland’s early student films (Franz, Charlatan, Burning Bush), which was made as a studio exercise at FAMU in 1969. The lead role is played by the actress Jaroslava Pokorná, whose creative collaboration with the director has lasted for more than fifty years.
