Smack! A young man has found an unexpected way to release his bottled-up emotions: through brutal slap-fighting competitions. What may initially seem like a fun escape soon turns into an obsession. It’s no longer just about winning… This short drama by director Mikołaj Piszczan was made at the National Film School of Poland in Łódź. Although it is set in the extreme and slightly bizarre world of slap fighting, at its core it tells an intimate story about self-discovery and the quest to fill the voids in one’s life. The film won the award for Best Short Film at the Gdynia Film Festival.
