In search of a lost father. A Japanologist, calligrapher, artist, husband, Renaissance man… and, above all, a man with his head in the clouds. Or in Tokyo. Ester Geislerová reconstructs the image of her late father, Petr Geisler. Where is he hiding? Family archives, photographs, video recordings, letters, and memories of friends... A search for the traces of a man who refused to settle for the grey monotony of Normalization-era Czechoslovakia and longed for freedom. Will she succeed in reconstructing his complex personality, or will he remain a mystery forever? The feature debut by Ester Geislerová premiered at this year's KVIFF.
