Eleven-year-old Alix lives in a village where hunting the animals of the surrounding forest is a cherished tradition. One day, she hides in the woods to secretly observe the hunt. But as she watches the dying creatures, she begins to fall in love with these beautiful, innocent beings — and cares for them even after death. Alix returns home with dirty hands and a newly found awareness of the value of life. Who, in this world, are the real beasts? Those in the forest, or those in the village? Among the Beasts is director Luchina Paparella's graduation film from the Belgian film school, INSAS.
