Melanie is the sole survivor of the fire that destroyed her home. On that tragic day, she lost her husband and daughter. If it hadn’t been for a careless craftsman, they would all still be alive. Grieving, Melanie sinks into a life of lethargy. A chance encounter with her pregnant neighbour Katrin offers her a second chance - through Katrin, she might heal her broken heart, forgive the culprit, and find the will to live again. Can she rise from the ashes? This short drama was directed by Dingding Jiang, a graduate of DFFB (German Film and Television Academy Berlin).
