Nine-year-old Elizabeth has to take care of her little brother in the middle of the Amazon rainforest. Their parents will be back soon, so it shouldn't be anything too difficult. But that's assuming her little brother isn't the disobedient Leo. Before the girl even has a chance to figure out what's going on, the boy strays deep into the jungle. The rescue mission begins! This animated film with strong Czech involvement was directed by Latvian director, Edmunds Jansons, who, as a graphic designer and illustrator, has contributed to a wide range of children's books. His film work is defined above all by a preference for magical hand-drawn animation. Born in the Jungle premiered at the prestigious Annecy Festival.
