The church is in flames. A fire in a border village shakes the local community—a human body is found in the ruins, and fear and mutual distrust begin to mount among the residents. Was it a tragic accident, or cold-blooded murder? The investigation brings detective Alena back to her hometown region, where she gradually uncovers what lies beneath the surface of local relationships. Beneath the seemingly peaceful facade of village life lie hidden family secrets and unresolved questions of faith, guilt, and forgiveness. This six-part crime mini-series produced by Czech Television was directed by Michal Samir, creator of the hit series, Iveta (2022–2024). The cast includes Petra Hřebíčková, Juraj Loj, Stanislav Majer, Milena Steinmasslová, Jan Hájek, Magdaléna Borová, Jana Plodková, Vasil Fridrich, Jaromír Dulava, Jaroslav Plesl, and others.
