This biographical film follows the story of famous Slovak singer, Karol Duchoň, who shaped the local pop music scene in the 1970s and 1980s. But what was the cost of fame? Directed by Peter Bebjak, the film features a striking transformation of Vladislav Plevčík into Karol Duchoň. The filmmakers also managed to recreate the singer’s real voice using AI technology - although Plevčík performed all the songs himself, his vocals were modified to sound like Duchoň. The world premiere took place at this year’s Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
