Matty is facing a turbulent time. He has to finish primary school, entrance exams for an art school are right around the corner, he doesn't get along with his mother's new partner, and he's also starting to have feelings for Radek. In all this chaos, he barely gets a moment to just be himself. And that's only the beginning of his troubles... This six-part mini-series produced by Czech Television premiered at this year’s KVIFF in the Special Screenings section. Writer and director David Semler previously tackled the themes of queer identity and self-discovery in his student short, It Has to Hurt (2020), which earned a Czech Lion nomination.
