About 1,500 people are taking shelter from bombing in the Kharkiv metro. Among them is little Nikita, who lives his own story here. His imagination transforms the metro claustrophobic spaces into playgrounds, and under the ruined streets, first loves as well as ordinary moments of humanity are born that take on a new dimension in times of war. Photophobia manages to artfully balance on the line between fiction and documentary. The Slovak representative for the Oscars won the Best Documentary award at the Warsaw IFF and the Czech Joy award at the Ji.hlava festival.
