The parents have gone away for the weekend! Twelve-year-old Nikča takes the opportunity to invite her best friend Gabča over. They’re ready for a dream weekend - after all, who wouldn’t want to have the whole apartment to themselves and do whatever they please? But nothing goes as planned. Their idyll is interrupted by uninvited guests, including high-school graduate Ondra and little brother Tomáš, who claims something lives in his room. And worse - he might be right! The mismatched group has to team up to face the monsters! The family film, The Bugaboo, was directed by Tomáš Pavlíček (She Came at Night) and Kateřina Karhánková (Hungry Bear Tales). Following the Sunday screening, a 40-minute workshop for children aged 6 and up will take place. Everyone has their own little monster—something they’re afraid of. In this workshop, children will create their very own “little monster” to take home. This friendly creature will remind them that fear is normal, but it can be tamed and even turned into a companion. The creative workshop combines imagination, hands-on crafting, and the theme of courage—with humor and playfulness, just like the film.
