Marie Tomanová is a passionate photographer. As a young woman, she left the Czech Republic and moved to New York. Who would have guessed back then just how much success she would ultimately achieve? The feature-length documentary debut by director Marie Dvořáková (Who’s Who in Mycology) follows the successful photographer over the course of five years. Thanks to the personality of the main subject, the resulting work feels like a joyful reunion with a close friend and an optimistic reminder that dreams can come true! The film premiered at Ji.hlava Festival, where it won the Best Cinematography and the Student Jury awards.
