On a street in Brno-Židenice stands Kuncovka, an apartment block that has become a symbol of the poverty business. But behind its walls, a wave of resistance is rising. Do the local residents have any real protection in society, or is the system set entirely against them? Director Tomáš Hlaváček’s time-lapse documentary is not his first work on the subject. In 2021, he released Housing Against Everyone, which rather follows up on his latter project, as its production only started after it. The Impossibility received the Best Czech Documentary Film Award in the Czech Joy section at the Ji.hlava IDFF, as well as the Online Audience Award.
